Yesterday, some of my students and staff asked me: Can you…? accompanied by air knitting needles.
Why, yes i can! i replied. How excited they were! How excited i am!
Cold season is coming soon and i think it will be a nice change from standing in front of the white board feigning authority while my students giggle at my pitiful Burmese.
Also, it will be cute knitting during oppressive heat so that we can be scarved and hatted during the cold evenings.
Lastly, it means i don’t have to buy winter clothes, which i have been stubbornly refusing to do, because i think it’s silly. i am in Thailand. and i have plenty. it is also true that i will probably sing a different tune in 2 weeks.
(this photo is from Australia. it was a really wonderful day. a friendly group of women touching every notch on the age range, knitting in a country manor sipping brandy, warmed by a delicious fire in the hearth. i am blessed with beautiful experiences. the woman next to me is blessed with supersonic knitting speed.)
